You will be responsible for a long assortment of important tasks and projects: everything from taking notes in high-level strategy meetings, supporting our marketing and sales process logistics, to ensuring everyone in the department is following our highly detailed processes, to conducting research and assisting in implementing improvements throughout the marketing division. Of course, in addition to aiding in strategizing, implementing, scaling, and analyzing our ongoing marketing objectives.
By virtue of your position, you will learn everything about how the marketing department works. This is not a siloed position. You will support and help drive results across all of our marketing: content and SEO, email, social, digital, and traditional advertising, public relations, analytics, etc., and even work directly with our Author Strategists (our non-sleazy version of top-notch salespeople).
Though you will begin in a coordinator role, we expect you to eventually outgrow this role. When that happens, you'll move into whatever role in the department you're best suited for.
We're still small (less than 70 people), so this could lead to you heading up entire departments. We have no problem fast-tracking people who work hard and produce results.
In fact, we not only hope you move up, we EXPECT you to move up. If you aren't out of this coordinator role and doing something more challenging and crucial in the company in 18-24 months, it means you aren't the right person for this role.
