We have coordinator roles available for multiple departments. The specific tasks for the role differ depending on the department but in general, the coordinator keeps the department running.
They report directly to the Head of the Department and be responsible for a long assortment of tasks: everything from taking notes in high level strategy meetings, to ensuring everyone in the department is following directions, to picking up and sending out mail for the department, to conducting research and helping to implement improvements throughout the department, to managing the office and taking overall care of the Department.
By virtue of your position, you will learn everything about how your department works.
Though you will begin in a coordinator role, we expect you to eventually outgrow this role. When that happens, you'll move into whatever role in the department you're best suited for (or, maybe you move into a different department that fits better).
We're still small (less than 40 people), so this could lead to you heading up entire departments. We have no problem fast-tracking people who work hard and produce.
In fact, we not only hope you move up, we EXPECT you to move up. If you aren't out of this apprenticeship and doing something challenging and crucial in the company in 18-24 months, it means you aren't the right person for this role.

Book writing is, for most people, a painful and difficult process, loaded with uncertainty and aggravation. Our goal is to make it as simple as possible, so that as many people as possible can write books.
We do this a few different ways. We’ve written a book that details our process that people can follow on their own, or they can follow a structured process with our guidance (we call this Scribe Guided Author), or we can put them through a structured interview process that gets the book out of them in their words and their voice. We call that Scribe Professional, and this describes that process pretty well.
